Zeisberger Heckewelder Awards
The Zeisberger Heckewelder Awards are presented each year to citizens of Tuscarawas County who have been exemplary in their contributions to the quality of life in Tuscarawas County, especially involving preservation and awareness of local history.
To nominate someone for the Zeisberger Heckewelder Award send the following information to the Tuscarawas County Historical Society by February 1 each year:

*The Nominee must be a resident of Tuscarawas County
**The Nominee cannot be a current office holder
Include information in a paragraph or more on the reason the nominee should be considered for the award.
The medal is given to those who exemplify making Tuscarawas County a better place in which to reside. This is achieved by promoting the history of Tuscarawas County or by serving non-profit groups, church groups, or in leadership roles that assist the citizens of Tuscarawas County.
